Mit seinen 5 000 neuen Wörtern bietet der "Duden - Die deutsche Rechtschreibung" nun 140 000 Stichwörter mit über 500 000 Bedeutungserklärungen und zusätzlichen Angaben zu Worttrennung, Aussprache, Grammatik, Etymologie und Stil.

Compte 100 000 mots, 350 000 sens, 325 000 citations littéraires, 25 000 expressions, locutions et proverbes et 2 000 notices d'auteurs et d'œuvres.

Die Datenbank enthält ca. 28 000 Kurzbiographien von Personen des öffentlichen Lebens des 20. und 21. Jahrhunderts. Der Datenpool wird regelmässig ergänzt und aktualisiert. Die Biographien können über eine Volltextsuche recherchiert werden, über eine alphabethische Liste sowie über thematische Kategorien (z.B., Wirtschaft, Kultur, Sport). Nekrologe und eine Rubrik mit Jahrestagen ergänzen das Angebot.

Since its foundation in 1907, the Union of International Associations (UIA) has been committed to a sustainable and long-term collection, analysis and dissemination of detail information on global civil society bodies and networks (organization contact details, origins, relations, members, bibliography, biographies, events, statistics, etc.), on world problems and the strategies advocated to deal with them, the values guiding such initiatives, and on the different understandings of human potential from which these values derive.
