The Swiss National Sound Archives preserve the country’s audio heritage. Established in 1987 and based in Lugano, they are now part of the Swiss National Library. The Archives collect and catalogue audio documents (Helvetica) of all kinds, both music and spoken word, from the beginnings of sound recording to the present day.
