The National Library (NL) also collects, archives, catalogues, preserves and provides access to digitally born publications. These are collectively known as “e-Helvetica”, from the term “Helvetica” meaning documents related to Switzerland.
The collection of e-Helvetica consists of four parts:
- e-Diss.ch: electronic university publications (dissertations and post-doctoral theses)
- Online commercial publications
- Websites of patrimonial relevance (Web Archive Switzerland)
- Official digital publications of the Confederation
Long-term archiving
The long-term archive is based on the Open Archival Information System (OAIS).
