e-Helvetica: overview

The National Library (NL) also collects, archives, catalogues, preserves and provides access to digitally born publications. These are collectively known as “e-Helvetica”, from the term “Helvetica” meaning documents related to Switzerland.

The collection of e-Helvetica consists of four parts:

  • e-Diss.ch: electronic university publications (dissertations and post-doctoral theses)
  • Online commercial publications
  • Websites of patrimonial relevance (Web Archive Switzerland)
  • Official digital publications of the Confederation
