Information session held on May 30th, 2007 at the Swiss National Library in Bern
At the end of 2003, the Conference of Swiss University Libraries approved an agreement which describes and defines actions taken by universities and applied universities in the area of digital theses. As the repository for printed and digital Swiss publications, the Swiss National Library (NL) played an active role in drafting this agreement. In the following years, the NL in collaboration with the university libraries of St. Gallen, Bern, Lucern and the Réseau des bibliothèques de Suisse occidentale (university libraries of Geneva, Vaud, Neuchâtel, Fribourg and Lugano) have defined the conditions for harvesting, listing and archiving electronic theses.
Results were presented to the university and university of applied sciences library directors and to contact technical personnel attending the May 30th, 2007 conference.
