Open Data policy

Third parties can use the metadata from the Helveticat electronic catalogue and the Bibliography of Swiss History without restrictions – for both non-commercial and commercial purposes. There is no requirement to cite the source. However this is strongly recommended, as it enables other users to locate the source and track any changes.

Selection of data on opendata.swiss

The data can be obtained in MARC21 format via the Z39.50 interface and on request via OAI-PMH. A selection of our data can be downloaded from the portal opendata.swiss.
