Introductory traineeship for students wishing to enrol in a UAS degree programme in preservation and restoration

Do you wish to enrol in a UAS degree programme in preservation and restoration?
Are you interested in doing an introductory traineeship in this field?
The Swiss National Library  (NL) offers you this possibility.

Introductory and work-based training in one or more areas of the NL's preservation department.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Federal Vocational Baccalaureate or Baccalaureate.
  • Intention to enrol in a full-time three-year Bachelor's degree programme or five-year Bachelor's/Master's degree programme in information and documentation at either the BFH in Bern, SUPSI in Lugano or HES-SO in Chaux-de-Fonds. Candidates should contact the universities of applied sciences directly for information about the exact prerequisites for enrolment in these programmes (see links).
  • Good knowledge of two national languages plus English.
  • Good general education, extensive knowledge of chemistry and art history, skilled in crafts, ability to learn quickly, ability to think logically, ability to visualise concepts, ability to work independently.

Full-time 12-month traineeship (100%).

Students earn the following gross monthly salary, which is calculated on the basis of a 13-month year.
