The presentation will discuss the work of the W3C Library Linked Data Incubator Group and its final report, and relate it to recent developments in bibliographic metadata standards and records in the context of linked data, Resource Description Framework, and the Semantic Web. These include ISBD, the Functional Requirements models, RDA, and MARC, and the publishing of linked data triples by the British Library, Deutsche Nationalbibliothek, and others. Specific topics include the mapping of legacy records to linked data formats and the interoperability of triples derived from different models for bibliographic metadata, including Dublin Core.
